You may have noticed the spiffy new calendar icon here at Mesmer Lab. Well I created the graphic purely in Photoshop and have made it available at Graphic River. A future article will explain how I made it, but this article is about how to implement it into your WordPress blog.
The goal is to get rid of the generic-looking display of each article’s date. The visitor to most sites would want to know when the article is written to see how relevant the ideas, data or techniques are. A bold display of the date lets the user quickly scan and find the publish date.

I’ve teamed up with CafePress and designed some schwag with the Mesmer Lab logo. I’ll be buying some myself for obvious reasons. But you can help promote my site with this high-quality shirt while hanging with your friends. They’ll ask, “hey, what’s that?” You’ll say, “dude, you don’t know about Mesmer Lab? Let me tell you about it.”
I’ll be adding other products like the essential coffee mug, mouse pad and stickers. I’ll also be giving away some of the stuff once I come up with a cool idea for a contest. Let me know if you’d like any other Mesmer Lab products that CafePress offers and I’ll add it to my store. By the way, I’m keeping the base price on every product. I figure if you’re gonna advertise for me I shouldn’t be making money off of you.
