Mesmer Lab is the gathering place of web technology information written and maintained by Jason Peltier. I have been in the web industry for over 10 years and love to keep up on new developments that makes my job and life easier.

I have attained degrees in Multimedia and Entertainment Business and use those skills to further my goals. I have gained experience in corporate, agency and freelance venues. I am currently exploring the blog universe and ways to use those technologies to passively tackle my monthly debts.

My portfolio is now live! Hopefully it will convey the range of projects I’ve been involved in, from custom site designs, CMS projects, audio production and more. I am particularly interested in the challenge of design-to-HTML using various front-end technologies including CSS, javascript frameworks and custom administration interfaces.

I dabble in emerging technologies and frameworks such as Ruby on Rails, Java, Drupal, and Sharepoint. For a change of pace when I need a break, I satisfy my creative urges with audio production. I have recently been revisiting an old friend, PHP. I’ve installed and kicked around a few of the frameworks that run on that language. CodeIgniter, PyroCMS and MODx are my current favorites of the bunch.

My current goals are to expand my freelance contracts and develop this site into a viable source of web development technology information.
